Engaging citizens as agents of change in food system transition through gamified education and citizen science.
MISSION 1
DEVELOPING A FAIR, HEALTHY, AND ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY FOOD SYSTEM
FOODMISSION is a European project focused on empowering citizens to lead the transformation of our food system. Aligned with the European Green Deal and the Farm to Fork Strategy, it promotes fair, healthy, and sustainable food practices. The project addresses the critical need to shift consumption patterns toward sustainability, tackling pressing health and environmental challenges.
MISSION 2
EMPOWERING CITIZENS AS AGENTS OF CHANGE
FOODMISSION leverages citizen science, enabling individuals to actively contribute to data collection and the co-creation of knowledge. This participatory approach allows citizens to influence food systems and participate in long-term transformations, alongside other stakeholders working together in Transformation Labs (T-Labs).
MISSION 3
SHAPING THE TRANSITION TO BE FUN, PURPOSEFUL, AND EFFECTIVE
FOODMISSION turns sustainable food choices into an enjoyable experience through gamification. By making it fun to track and share food habits, the platform motivates users to take part in shaping a healthier, more sustainable food system.
